Temenos announced its 2023 Customer Awards winners, recognizing banks and financial institutions for their achievements in various categories such as customer experience, digital transformation, core transformation, banking innovation, sustainability banking, and visionary leadership. Three clients were also awarded the Innovation Hero Award for their successful deployment of innovative products.

  • Customer Experience Award – Bank SinoPac: Bank SinoPac in Taiwan attracted 1.2 to 1.4 million users to its DAWHO account, offering a complete end-to-end retail banking solution with a personalized and seamless customer experience.
  • Digital Transformation Award – APAP: APAP in Latin America launched 100% digital products, including Digital Mortgage Credit, achieving a high customer satisfaction level of 94%. They also contributed to financial inclusion by providing access to savings and credit for thousands of people.
  • Core Transformation Award – Nordea: Nordea, one of Europe’s largest banks, is building a new core banking platform to develop digital solutions, improve efficiency, and meet customer needs across four countries, currencies, and regulators.
  • Banking Innovation Award – Komerční banka: Komerční banka (KB) in the Czech Republic is leveraging Temenos to pursue a strategic growth plan, offering an agile platform for innovative services like multi-currency accounts and developing a General Ledger for all transactions.
  • Sustainability Banking Award – EQ Bank: EQ Bank in Canada, recognized as the best bank in the country, migrated to the Temenos Banking Cloud, achieving carbon-neutral status and reducing CO2 emissions by 93-97% compared to on-premise infrastructure.
  • Visionary Leadership Award – Abdullah Alomari from Al Rajhi Bank: Abdullah Alomari led Al Rajhi Bank’s transformation program, bringing all business lines onto the Temenos Core Banking platform, resulting in cost savings, improved customer satisfaction, and faster innovation.
  • Innovation Hero Award (Jury Choice) – Flowe: Italian challenger bank Flowe launched an Instant Payments solution using Temenos, enabling instant and secure money transfers while offsetting CO2 emissions through supporting a reforestation project in Guatemala.
  • Innovation Hero Award (Jury Choice) – Bank of Abyssinia: Bank of Abyssinia launched Ethiopia’s first digital banking app, Apollo, within four months using Temenos Infinity. It provides a complete banking experience and aims to promote a cash-lite economy.
  • Innovation Hero Award (Online Vote) – Sinapi Aba: Sinapi Aba in Ghana designed a mobile banking platform using Temenos Transact APIs, benefiting underserved groups, especially female entrepreneurs, with convenient, affordable, and secure banking transactions integrated with financial education components.
