Tandem Bank co-founders team up to launch low-fee wealth management app Prosper

  • Tandem Bank co-founders Ricky Knox and Nick Perrett, along with ComitFS non-executive chairman Phil Bungey, have launched Prosper, a new London-based wealth management start-up.
  • Prosper’s app enables users to invest in index funds and portfolios from major asset managers while providing free impartial advice on investment strategies.
  • The service aims to offer fair, transparent, and low fees, challenging the high fees typically associated with wealth management firms.
  • The founders aim to raise awareness about the hidden costs of money management, which can significantly impact future wealth.
  • The venture has secured £3.2 million in pre-seed funding with support from notable investors, including Tom Blomfield, Charles Delingpole, and Matt Cooper.
  • Prosper is currently invite-only and plans to go public in Q1 2024. They are also running a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise additional funds.
