PointsBet Launches 12th US sportsbook operation

  • PointsBet Holdings (PBH) expands its US sportsbook operations to 12 after taking its first retail bet in Maryland, US
  • Points Bet subsidiary Points Bet Maryland accepted the first punt after sports and retail betting were made legal in the state in May last year
  • The following month, the company announced it had secured online and retail market access in the state through a partnership with a small betting business
  • The company expects to launch its online betting operation in Maryland early in the third quarter of the 2023 financial year
  • PBH shares are up 3.54 per cent and trading at $2.34 at 1:15 pm AEST
