- Services Provided: Houlihan Lokey’s fintech group offers strategic advisory services in M&A, capital markets, valuation, financial restructuring, and growth strategy, focusing on areas like asset management, wealth technology, payments, real estate and mortgage technology, regtech, insurtech, and data and analytics.
- M&A Activity: The bank supported 15 fintech deals and 89 global technology deals in 2023.
- Previous Experience: Atherton was previously a partner at Union Square Advisors, where he advised on M&A transactions, private capital financings, and strategic advisory assignments for fintech and enterprise software clients.
- Background: Atherton also has experience in RBC Capital Markets’ technology investment banking group and Goldman Sachs’ special situations group.
