DMarket: Raises $6.5M in Funding

  • DMarket, a Los Angeles, CA-based in-game item trading platform and a monetization technology for game developers, content creators
  • Then the round was led by Almaz Capital, with participation from Xsolla
  • Alongside the investment, Trip Hawkins, the founder and CEO of Electronic Arts, 3DO and Digital Chocolate, joins DMarket as an independent board member
  • The company intends to use the funds to expand into further developments surrounding the in-game ecosystem, to increase its engineering force
