- Staples held senior roles at HSBC from 2018 to 2023, including the position of Global Head of its BaaS and embedded finance proposition.

- His early career includes roles at global financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase, Nomura, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs.
- Staples has also co-founded several technology start-ups across various sectors.
Responsibilities at ClearBank:
- At ClearBank, Paul Staples is tasked with developing the embedded banking business as the company expands into Europe.

- ClearBank has also appointed Nick Ford as Group Head of Channels and Alliances.
- In this role, Ford will lead the strategy to drive indirect channel revenue and establish more partnerships, aligning with ClearBank’s European expansion plans.
