Chowbus: Raises $33M in Series A Funding
- Chowbus, a Chicago, IL-based Asian food delivery platform, raised $33m in Series A funding round
- Then the round was led by Altos Ventures and Left Lane Capital with participation from Hyde Park Angels, Fika Ventures, FJ Labs and Silicon Valley Bank
- The company will also use the new funding to continue to grow its existing business, launch its platform in new cities
- Chowbus is a food-delivery platform that connects diners with authentic Asian food from “mom and pop” restaurants and stores
- The app is available in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Seattle, and many other cities across North Americ
- The company has also added former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of JUMP Bikes and one of Uber’s first 50 employees
