- Bright.md, a Portland, Oregon-based healthcare automation company, closed an $8m Series C round of funding
- The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $20.5m, was co-led by B Capital and Seven Peaks Ventures
- B Capital General Partner Karen Page has joined Bright.md’s board of directors
- The company intends to use the funds to expand the presence and function of its AI-powered, virtual-care platform SmartExam
- Healthcare systems use it to deliver treatment for hundreds of conditions, such as flu, pediatrics, dermatology
- The company is working with some of the largest health systems in the country that provide care to tens of millions of patients
