Barclays: Appoints Group Chief Risk Officer

  • Barclays is a British universal bank diversified by business, by different types of customer and client, and geography
  • Barclays has appointed Taalib Shaah as Group Chief Risk Officer, subject to regulatory approvals
  • Mr Shaah join the Executive Committee of Barclays, reporting to Group Chief Executive,
  • Mr Shaah currently the Chief Risk Officer for Barclays International, which encompasses the Corporate & Investment Bank
  • He joined Barclays in the role of CRO for the Investment Bank, Non-Core, and also Treasury in 2014
  • Prior to then Mr Shaah was at Citigroup, where he was CRO for Market Risk, Real Estate & Treasury and Head of Model Validation
