  • Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) appoints Rowena Smith as its newest Managing Director
  • ASM Chair Ian Gandel says the move is a “natural progression” following Ms Smith’s appointment as CEO back in July 2022
  • She has more than 30 years of experience in different senior roles including strategy, commercial, operations, and ESG, and she was most recently South32’s (S32) Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President, Supply
  • Mr Gandel says the appointment supports ASM’s strategic ambitions and growth as it builds on its status as a global rare earths and critical minerals business
  • Shares in AMS are up 2.56 per cent, trading at $1.60 at 11:57 am AEDT
