Apiam Animal Health Secures viral vaccine lab funding
- Apiam Animal Health (AHX) receives a $700,000 grant to build a new viral vaccine laboratory in Bendigo from the Victorian State Government’s Regional Jobs Fund
- The funding will enable the company to fast track development of the facility
- AHX said producing viral vaccines locally will fill a critical gap in Australia’s animal health market, with a strong potential for future exports
- It will enable the company to fast track development of the lab and fill a need within the domestic agricultural industry to battle a range of endemic and emerging viruses
- This includes Japanese Encephalitis, which is currently affecting the domestic pig segment
- Shares close flat today at 85 cents each
