Altech Chemicals Launches and registers product name Silumina Anodes

  • Altech Chemicals (ATC) launches and registers the product name ‘Silumina Anodes’ for its alumina coated composite silicon/graphite lithium-ion battery anode material
  • Altech has been successful in applying its alumina coating technology to both silicon and particles
  • Based on this testwork, when Silumina Anodes products are combined into a lithium-ion battery, the battery will provide higher energy retention capacity by volume and weight
  • Last year, the company developed a silicon-based battery anode capable of increasing the energy retention and capacity of batteries by 30 per cent
  • On the market, Altech was up 2.17 per cent and is trading at 9.4 cents per share
