France’s Request Finance acquires crypto accounting fintech Consola Finance

  • Request Finance, a French fintech start-up founded in 2020, specializes in providing a platform for Web3 companies and freelancers to manage cryptocurrency payments, including payroll, expenses, and invoicing.
  • As of February 2024, the platform handles approximately 2,401 cryptocurrency payments per month for 2,151 active users, with a total transaction volume exceeding $669 million since its inception.
  • The company has acquired Consola Finance, a Vienna-based cryptocurrency accounting platform, to enhance its offering with cryptocurrency-specific accounting functions.
  • The acquisition will enable users to import and categorize cryptocurrency transactions, which can then be integrated into enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as QuickBooks.
  • Christophe Lassuyt, CEO of Request Finance, emphasizes that the platform is “crypto-friendly” and combines the functionalities of various financial management tools like Bill.com, Netsuite, and Expensify.
  • Christophe Fonteneau, head of strategy at Request Finance, highlights that the integration of technologies from both companies will increase confidence in using cryptocurrency for business transactions.
