4DMedical Receives AMA green light for new CPT code

  • The American Medical Association (AMA) accepts 4DMedical’s (4DX) application for a new Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code
  • 4DX applied for the addition of a new category III CPT code to identify if a patient has used its XV lung ventilation analysis software technology
  • The new code will allow healthcare providers to identify when a patient has received the scan, provide a billing pathway amongst payers, and enable tracking utilisation of the technology
  • The specific category III CPT code and code descriptor will be released on January 1, 2023, and be effective for use as of July 1, 2023
  • The company is up 6.03 per cent and trading at 61.5 cents at 2:50 pm AEDT
